Handy’s house

As a child you could not keep me from television sets and old VHF players with dust on top. I loved the shiny grays and blacks that trapped sky, the smells of the toilet duck lemon zest and fungus.

Even more than those things i loved the sound when the electrons were set in motion and began rushing towards my face but were defected at the last moment as the images flickered into life.

And what a life those images had….

If I had youths blood I would re-watch every minute of children’s TV that I enjoyed as a sprog. These sentiments have lead me to try my hand at the dark art of educational kids television. The results were of course disappointing it is no teenage mutant ninja turtles I am afraid.

Handys House

Good help these days is so hard to find.

The economic down turn is hitting the poor working class juice vendors of Ireland very hard. Please give what you can and adopt a juice vendor today. For just £10 a mouth you can adopt a juice vendor and keep him in tropical fruit themed high heel’s. Don’t let them suffer in silence. We will also send out a calender once a year with some great photos of the juice vendors as well as a cuddly toy to remind you of all of the great work being conducted on your behalf.

Seamus

It seems that for every generation their is a man or woman that posses all of the quality’s necessary to expand the boundaries of pop-culture in a completely new and unexpected direction, with a grace and ease that captures the hearts and imaginations of millions. Where this person goes we shall all follow, they are cultural pioneers in the great wilderness of art or science. They manage to retain a child like enthusiasm with the dedication of an idiot savant. This individual is much more than a celebrity. The mind thinks at once of great’s such as Shakespeare, Peter Andre and De Selby. Continue Reading »

This will be great for your C.V. sorry you’re Curriculum Vitae.

It is often said to young people. You should do X it would be great for your C.V. X in this case stands for any bullshit activity that no one in their right mind would ever consider doing, but wait that’s not all! you get to spend the free time that your not in school ” some of the best years of your life” hanging out with people you don’t like, But wait that’s still not all! they don’t want to be their either they just want to improve their C.V. That is all!

I have a strong suspicion that this is a relativity new phenomenon. It is a response to the  fact that a university degree is no longer a guarantee of employment in the field of your study. In addition job security once you get said job is much less likely. These facts make Mom and Dad a bit scared. They want whats best for little Jimmy so he is made attend X classes or sent to X to work for free.

Little Jimmy. So much potential.

A beat by any other name would sound as sweet.

This is a continuation of last weeks topic (That stealing stuff is both cool and creative). A powerfull example of how cool is the amen break.

This video will get you up to speed on the history of the break and some of the issues of copyright that are associated with its continued use.

Need I add anything? No I think my point is made.

Creative control

I have written a poem, it was received with mixed reviews from the poem critics.

“Excellent very good indeed we wish to commend Eoin on the excelent toilet paper he has provided us with”.- The Times

” Better then Shakespeare, Thomas Moore and Wordsworth combined”.- The Sun

The Sun liked it so much they decided to print the poem on their third page, this sparked riots across the country as masturbation was made almost imposable in places of work that did not have access to the internet for a whole day. Continue Reading »

I got Mail….. Loads of it.

This is just a quick blog to attempt a respond to the thousands of heart felt letters that I have received from people all around the world and from many different backgrounds since I last blogged. These were very much appreciated. I was completely unaware that this issue had touched so many peoples lives. What follows are some excerpts from some of theses kind letters. Continue Reading »

My name is Eoin.

I believe that I have lived a good and moral life nestled in the warm bosom of my family with occasional trips to town where I have managed to earn many rewarding friendships. This neat, clean world that I was living in was nice but I knew in the twisted sinews of my heart that something was missing. When I would bring the subject up with friends they would just ply me with drink, my family had a very similar reaction to my probing questions.

Then one day when I was on the internet out of sheer boredom I googled my own name. It is hard to say just how much this reckless act has changed my life but I knew scrolling down page after page of results, that there was no way back and I had to continue down the rabbit hole. Continue Reading »
